PhatPharm: Fat Is the New Rx keeps its chapters clean by moving the working material into these appendices. They are free to download, written to be used alongside the book, and educational rather than prescriptive. None of them replaces your own clinician.
Appendix B: Nutrition Templates. Patterns of eating, not a meal plan. The templates show how to lower insulin burden and restore metabolic flexibility, and how to adjust for culture, budget, schedule and clinical guidance.
Appendix C: Lab Interpretation. A field guide to reading labs as signals rather than verdicts: what each marker reflects, why it can shift during a metabolic transition, and what to ask your clinician.
Appendix E: Claims Ledger. The book's evidence architecture. Every major claim is sorted by its evidence type (mechanistic, clinical outcome, genetic and epidemiologic, or systems and incentives) and framed by the strength of the evidence behind it. In the appendix's own words, an accountability map.
Appendix G: Systems & Incentives. Why reversal is still the exception: the time, training and reimbursement pressures that shape a 10 to 15 minute visit. An examination of the system, not an indictment of clinicians.
Appendix H: Resources. Further reading, optional monitoring tools such as continuous glucose monitors, and community. Tools that reduce friction, none of them a substitute for individualized care.
Appendix I: Signal Amplifiers. The non-food signals that decide whether nutrition works or stalls: meal timing and intermittent fasting, resistance training, recovery and stress.
